Give Through a Donor Advised Fund

If you already give through a donor advised fund, you can recommend a grant to us from your sponsor’s portal.

What your sponsor will ask for

  • Legal name: Saola Foundation
  • Federal Tax ID (EIN): 82-3731270
  • Address: 512 N 50th Street, Milwaukee, WI 53208, USA

You may know us as The Saola Foundation for Annamite Mountains Conservation. Our registered name is Saola Foundation, and that is what will appear in your sponsor’s portal. If a search by name does not find us, search by EIN, which is exact.

We can accept grants from Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, Vanguard Charitable, National Philanthropic Trust, community foundations, and any other sponsor that grants to US public charities.

Please tell us it is coming

Grants from donor advised funds frequently arrive without donor contact details, because the legal donor is the sponsoring organization rather than you. If you would like to be acknowledged, or to hear how the money was used, email info@saolafoundation.org and tell us to expect it.

If you would prefer to remain anonymous, that is entirely fine and you need do nothing.

Two things worth knowing

You have already taken your deduction. The tax benefit of a donor advised fund arises when you fund it, not when you recommend a grant. So a grant to us is not separately deductible, and we cannot issue you a tax receipt for it.

You can name us as a successor beneficiary. Most sponsors let you name a charity to receive some or all of what remains in the fund after your lifetime. It takes one form. If you do it, please tell us.

If you do not have one yet

A donor advised fund can be useful if you want to give appreciated assets, or concentrate several years of giving into one tax year, which matters more from 2026 now that a 0.5 percent of AGI floor applies to itemized charitable deductions. Your financial advisor or a sponsor can set one up. We have no preference among sponsors and receive nothing for recommending one.
