Susie has over ten years’ experience managing large international conservation programs specializing in human wildlife coexistence, the illegal wildlife trade, protected area management, and community engagement. Susie is knowledgeable in all aspects of NGO management including communications and team and budget management. She was the Managing Director at Save the Rhino International (SRI) for seven years and and led the organizational fundraising strategy and its work on tackling the illegal wildlife trade in rhino horn in Vietnam and China. After SRI, Susie managed Chester Zoo’s field projects in Asia, primarily focusing on elephant and tiger coexistence projects in India and Nepal, and is now managing ZSL’s conservation field partnerships in a wide range of programs across Africa and Asia. Susie is also a member of the advisory board for Ewaso Lions in Samburu, Kenya and is a Trustee for Act4Africa, a charity supporting girls and women in Uganda.
