Position: Grants Coordinator 

Saola Foundation for Annamite Mountains Conservation:

 The mission of the Saola Foundation is to help save Saola in the wild, and to conserve other threatened wildlife in the forests of the Annamite Mountains. We are the only chartered organization in the world to focus solely on the conservation of Saola and its home of the Annamite Mountains. We are a small, deeply committed group of field conservationists, with decades of collective experience in the Saola’s range, in the effective leadership of non-profit organizations.

 

The Saola Foundation are working to raise critical funds for Saola conservation and aim to launch an intensive search for wild Saola in Lao PDR. As our pool of supporters grows, data management, of donation records and general financial admin is critical to maintaining long-term financial stability of our organization. Likewise, grant management, such as compliance with reporting and procurement policies of grants, is critical to build and maintain lasting relationship with key donors.

 

Job Description:

The Grants Manager will provide essential administrative support to the Saola Foundation’s international operations, with the following key responsibilities:

 

  • Donation record management (i.e. donor management software)

  • Grant management (i.e. financial reporting, procurement)

  • Financial admin (i.e. receipts, invoices, Quickbooks)

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Must be able to work remotely and manage own time

  • Ability to work in the MS Windows environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to use QuickBooks and/or can pick up new skills in a range of digital platforms

  • Fluency in written and spoken English

  • Excellent communication skills within a multicultural workplace

 

Term:  Initial 3-month consultancy contract with opportunity for extension

 

Hours: 10 hours/week

 

Salary: Ranging between £11 – £13/hour, depending on experience

 

Location: Flexible – working from home
